Rodari OnLine. Letture della sera is a web project representing a collection of voices and images on the always different and colourful Gianni Rodari’s writings. Rodari’s tales and rhymes are re-interpreted and recited by those who have magic and fantasy in their blood: artists and children take turns to allow everyone to dream with words again, allowing us to discover the pleasure of the written, told and recited word in an original way.
Rodari’s fairy tales still manage to enchant and unite distant realities, even in this completely disrupted and yet interconnected world. With his simplicity and immediacy of image, in fact, Rodari was able to entrust to posterity a world of improbable but vivid associations, which still manage to provoke reflection and investigation while still entertaining.
Rodari Online – Letture della Sera was hosted by Bookstor on the occasion of the Tra Munari e Rodari at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome from 16 June to 24 October 2020.
All 21 videos by Italian artists and 10 videos by Lithuanian artists are collected in one video. The exhibition is visible on the two monitors set up inside the Bookstore where the texts dedicated to the exhibition ‘Tra Munari e Rodari’ are displayed.
